Enjoyed an evening dinner plate and it was great. The food we had was very tasty and fun for eat. We ended up staying 2 hours. The staff is very relaxed and attentive to service. I noticed the kitchen also tries its best to serve nice and good looking tasty food. We will come again!

Great cafe in the centre of Maastricht! Upon entry the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Great selection of regional beers and food. We had the regional Limburg beef stew with fries, which was absolutely unreal. The stew was dark, dense, sweet and sour - the perfect dish for a extremely cold winters day! Really great atmosphere and vibes!

Good service, good select of classic Dutch/Belgium food and beers. Nice atmosphere. Inside old wood decor, old narrow buildings, seating ground level and upstairs (steep narrow). In summer nice seating in square.

Nice place to hangout and have afternoon snacks.The cafe is located in front of Cathedral so we get a great view from where we sit. And the lady who is serving us is surprisingly come from Indonesia, love to chat with her because she's very kind and friendly.

Last visited August 2023 Great food and friendly staff. Pancakes were ok, the topping was a little light compared with other pancakes in the Netherlands.

Cosy place with good food. The tartare had a bit too much mayo, and we had to ask twice for the sides. The zuurvleis was very tasty though

If you are looking for a nice coffee place where you would be treated nicely, this is not the place you are looking for. First of all, the waiters do not really know their products. I ordered a bottle of water after asking how big the bottle was and receiving the answer: “normal”. The “normal” bottle of water turned to be a glass of water, a single glass of water, for which I payed 3€. However, an over expensive glass of water was not the worst thing. My friends ordered both a hot chocolate, which they drank eating some stroopwaffles we bought before. Since I was still thirsty, one of my friends offered me some of her water. In that moment, one of the waiters, whose rudeness I would like to highlight, came and told us, very unkindly, that we couldn’t drink nor eat anything from outside the cafe. The idea is perfectly understandable, but how he said it was uncalled for. He proceeded to talk to us as if we were dumb, and kept asking us if we wanted to drink or eat we had to order something , even though we told him several times we didn’t want. When he came to charge us, we asked if we could pay separately, to which he once again replied rudely. The place was nice, but the way they treated us made our experience terrible.

To sit down, enjoy a drink an watch people walk by? I prefer the Onze Lieve Vrouwen plein over the Vrijthof any time!! Nice, cosy and not too crowded.
